The esteemed annual Testa Rossa
Awards is Maranello’s very own World Cup, which honours the best talent in its
global network of authorised dealers. Nominees are selected from each business
to go head-to-head and complete a series of technical tests, before being
whittled down to one winner for each of the categories: Top Technician, Top
Service Manager, Top Marketing Executive, Top Sales Executive and Top
Aftersales Ambassador.
At the end of 2021, Jardine Ferrari Colchester celebrated not one,
but two team members winning the prestigious Testa Rossa Awards. Rob Cole and
Chris Mahon were awarded Best Sales Executive and Best Technician in the world
for their outstanding performance and dedication to the brand. As we come to
the end of 2022, it is time for them to hand back the trophies and so we asked
our winners a few questions about their success.
Rob Cole
How did it feel to be named The Best Sales Executive in the World?
“I don’t really know what to say to be honest, it still feels
surreal to have actually won it!
It is an absolute privilege for the brand themselves to consider
my day-to-day performance and performance in the awards process to be number
one in the world, as working for Ferrari is a passion for me, not just a job.”
What is your next challenge?
“You can never stop learning with a brand like Ferrari, you must
ensure you know more than you did yesterday, whether this be about the brand or
about the products.
I’m not too sure what’s next, I wasn’t allowed to enter this year
but I’d quite like to be the first double winner and to claim the trophy back
again next year.”
Chris Mahon
How did it feel to be named The Best Technician in the World?
“To
win the award was incredible, I had spent years working towards it, so it was a
surreal moment to have my name announced as the winner.
How
did you prepare during the application process?
“The
entrance exam is usually released around late spring, so I brushed up on
product knowledge around then, once I completed the semi-finals and it was
announced I was to be participating within the final, I started to revise all
technical aspects of the cars, trawling through wiring diagrams most nights so
I could familiarize myself with them, and ultimately it paid off!”
What
is your next challenge?
“I
don’t have any particular plans moving forward, other than to see what 2023 brings.
There are always new things to learn, and I look forward to another year
working with Ferrari Colchester”
The
entire team at Jardine Ferrari Colchester are extremely proud of their Testa
Rossa winning colleagues and would like to wish them every success in 2023 and
beyond.
